Reach-It - Solar Max 26"
Reach-It
TECHNICAL
The fastest way to clean a solar panel installation is to follow a predefined action plan without any variations. The following recommendations will help you with this:
Clean the entire length of the solar panel with each movement.
This reduces downtime due to deceleration and stopping with each change of direction. The 26 nozzles must be positioned at the bottom of the brush so that most of the water flows underneath. This ensures that dirty water is removed from the panel during the downward movement. The 8 nozzles above the brush are only used to add water as a surfactant during the upward movement. Most window cleaning brushes used for solar panels push dirt upward instead of rinsing it effectively, making rinsing unnecessarily time-consuming.
Use the most suitable SCRUB for the type of dirt you need to remove or for an ARC treatment. Clean the left side of the panel along the left frame, then the right side along the right frame. The SOLAR MAX should be wide enough to overlap in the center. Ideally, this means two strokes to the left, two to the right, and then to the next panel.
After drying, the supervisor inspects the panel and performs spot cleaning with a small tool if necessary. Since 98 to 99% of the cleaning is already done, for example, with two passes per panel, maximum efficiency is achieved by following a standard operating procedure and addressing exceptions separately. Remember: all panels are clearly visible on dry panels.
With this technique, it is possible to clean solar panels in less than 10 seconds per panel – which equates to 360 panels per hour.
ACCESSORIES
The SOLAR ROCKER MAX comes standard with a PIVOT-style handle and an aluminum PIVOT LOCK for twisting movements (although it also helps guide the brush during upward movement). This handle is compatible with all common angle adapters from other brands with a 40TEETH connection.
Additional snuggle neck extensions are included and fit REACH-iT WARRIOR handles (recommended for ground level cleaning), REACH-iT TRAD12 handles (recommended for roof ridge cleaning) and all REACH-iT handles.
Please note: the WARRIOR and TRAD12 are both equipped with KEVLAR SHOCKSTOP handles to minimize the risk of potential electrocution and death.
